Government of India has formed and autonomous organisation Council for Advancement of People’s Action and Rural Technology (CAPART) by registering it under the Societies Registration Act. CAPART has been working under the Government of India’s Ministry of Rural Development. CAPART is implementing the schemes and programmes for rural development since 1986. Government has been providing and managing funds through the nodal agency CAPART.  It co-ordinates and manages partnership of NGOs and the Government to implement development schemes in rural areas of India. CAPART has been promoting, managing and implementing various development programmes in rural areas with the help of NGO.

CAPART is managing and implementing the Government Schemes in following programmes:

  • Education
  • Health – Sanitation
  • Sustainable development
  • Organic farming
  • Micro finance
  • Micro planning by adopting a village programmes
  • Drought proofing
  • Housing programmes
  • Environmental Programmes
